A San Francisco collective takes to the streets to fight “VDT” disease.Processed World was a quarterly paper published in 1980′s and 1990′s in Silicon Valley, California. PW was written by a group of radical office workers (“temps”). Unlike similar publications, PW made good use of humor and art to sharpen its subversive attack.

Who made these movies? We did it together! This series features films and videos by media makers around the globe who operate as collectives, using group identities rather than assuming individual authorship. Whether a political statement or an artistic choice, working collectively means combining many individual visions into a cohesive whole–egos will be crushed. You will see everything from television sets thrown at riot cops, musings on the collaborative process, revolutions in other countries, and many other things.
Featuring work by Chto Delat, CineManifest, Cinetracts, Groupe Medvedkine, Grupo Ukamau, Newsreel, Pacific Street Films, Paper Tiger Television, Raindance, TVTV, the Workers Film and Photo League, and more.

Paper Tiger has been creating fun, funky, hard-hitting, investigative, compelling and truly alternative media since 1981! The programs produced at PTTV have inspired media-savvy community productions and activism around the world. Our archive includes shows that provide critical analysis of media, educate about the communications industry and highlight issues that are absent from mainstream information sources.
Through the distribution of our short documentary programs, media literacy/video production workshops, community screenings and grassroots advocacy, PTTV works to expose and challenge the corporate control of media. Because of the bias and misrepresentation of issues in mainstream media it is critical to include diverse perspectives in the process of making media.
PTTV strives to increase awareness of how media can be used to affect social change. A public that can strategically and creatively use the media is necessary for a more equitable and healthy democracy.
